This isn't a pro tip. This is an amateur tip at best. If non-impact resistant goggles get hit with a less than lethal round your vision is likely permanently damaged. For the same money you can buy impact-resistant goggles that are no larger, and then use something like silicone to seal the vents.

3M makes a set of googles (GG501SGAF) that are pretty small, fit their lower-face respirators as well, are Z87 rated, and you can use silicone to seal the vent holes.

You can also get something like these, and then use silicone to seal the vent holes. They're impact resistant and no larger than a good sized pair of sunglasses.
