I retract my previous total. 1.94 was the digital but after the water dropped I could get to my stratus gauge it’s 2.17”

Got almost 2” at our place. 1.94" most of which was between 1am and 2:30

From the size of the fire it’d seem so. ATC offered to give him vectors to another airport but he decided to give it a shot even after hearing it was below minimums. Tragic and totally unnecessary.

Apparently this was a fairly young pilot with only a few hundred hours but he did one hell of a job after that engine seized.
