👋 I’m curious, have you seen the newest Nosfertu? (I’m planning to see it Tuesday)

How do you think it compares to the original? How about compared to Herzog’s 1979 remake? What in our culture beckons a remake of this classic every couple of years?

I left out the important part of my reply “on silent films” there is a fair amount (a glut?) of “film crit” on blockbuster-of-the-week” but not nearly enough honest thoughtful consideration of the masterpieces of yore.

Surprisingly, there is not a lot of really good content and especially film crit/commentary to be found.
