That’s really cool; I was only seeing it through a technical lens and was considering state management trade-offs. I hadn’t considered possible gameplay implications.

2 novice questions: Is there a specific reason to assign loot when an enemy spawns vs the death/pickpocketed event? Is spawning an individual event per-enemy or a “player enters the area, spawn all enemies” kind of thing?

Your post reminded me of my own corporate years as a dev and then I realized just how hellish trying to be a GAME dev in a corporate or corporate-adjacent environment must be.
