The word “oxymoron” comes from a combination of the Ancient Greek words ὀξύς (oxús, “sharp, keen, pointed”) + μωρός (mōrós, “dull, stupid, foolish”). So, it means sharp/dull; keen/stupid.

By its nature, online culture has, it seems, exacerbated the walls that separate us, created more distance, more perceived anonymity. It’s sad and ugly, and I don’t know what the solution is.

Ever get this feeling like all the effort you put in, everything you do creatively and to make things that matter, none of it actually matters? Like no one sees you, no one is paying attention, no one cares. Like you could stop trying to create stuff and no one would even notice.

Saw the doctor yesterday. She told me there is a problem with my head, and the most clear-cut solution would be to simply remove it. Arrangements have been made for the surgeon to give me a call in the next couple of weeks.

Democracy is in a war against totalitarianism and greed. Literally, we are at war against China, Russia, Israel, and the US. Those four countries are now allied, and it’s time we wake up and realise this. This war is different in form from the last world war, but it's war nonetheless. Wake up.
