When I was younger and still attending church, I often carried a King James Bible, not because of any strictures within our denomination, but because I liked how it sounded. So, the way I write is probably just a case of whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

It's a structured journal, with prompts for gratitude, affirmations, and goals plus space for thoughts. I've learned from prior journals that my writing voice sounds like a pompous ass, so I think this is probably better than leaving it entirely open-ended. Besides, mindfulness is a goal, too.
