Emotion is Kuuga's 35th episode, and features the latter half of the case surrounding Go-Jaraji-Da and his murder of a group of middle schoolers. You have to understand, Godai is a nice guy, and this Gurongi pushed him dangerously close to his breaking point. The beating is scary for that reason.

Mother of Ultra's Miracle of Love is the 3rd part of the story of the battle with Birdon. By now the again kaiju seemed unstoppable, killing Taro & Zoffy and shrugging off everything else thrown at it. Only with Mother of Ultra reviving and upgrading Taro could he successfully seal it away again.

Rin-chan vs Edo Yokai is 5 Go Go's 27th ep. While walking to a shrine on the night of the summer festival, our friends get pulled into a world of Yokai by Shibiretta and are, especially Rin, spooked at every turn. A brilliant plan by Komachi helps turn the tables on the enemy in spooky romp for all.

In The Robot Which Cries in the Rain, Windspector's 25th ep, Bikel meets a young woman and falls in love at first sight, only for her to turn out to be a bomber after the life of a scientist who stole her brother's research. Duty and affection clash in this tale about what makes a human heart.

The Warrior of Van Braun, 0083's 6th ep has the Albion dock at the titular facility to repair and upgrade the Gundam while Kou gets a much needed reality check by meeting Kelly, a former Zeon soldier trying to repair an old mobile armor. It's an introspective and emotional halfway mark.

Drive it in! The Invincible Deadly Punch, Megaranger's 19th ep, introduces a new Nejirezia higher up, Gurail, whose tactics see Kenta accidently injure a younger friend. With the only thing that stop Gurail, the Battle Riser, requiring Mega Red's usage, will Kenta step up to the plate again?

No kidding. I was hoping an Agito anniversary was in the cards, but didn't think it would really happen

Hitomi's Kidnapping begins a 4-part story showing Kotaro gaining his Robo & Bio forms and his first meeting with Joe the Haze. It all starts because Maribaron accidently got the Princess of Crisis killed and decided to kidnap similar-looking girls to cover her tracks! The sheer audacity sells it!

Burn the Terrible Monster Hell is the 3rd ep of Ultraman Ace and one of the best, in my opinion, depictions of the cruelty of Yapool by having Vakshim take on the form of a boy to hide itself, and then murder people in that guide, all to destroy TAC HQ. The iconic breaking sky appears too!

The 5 Girls New Power is one of my fav midseaon climaxes in Precure, with Nozomi and Coco working to free their friends from the influence of Nightmare and Milk truly forming a friendship with them, allowing the team to unlock the 5 Explosion. It gets referenced in movies a lot for a reason.

It's Perfect Jiban! Sees the titular Mobile Cop destroyed by Biolon, and the only one who can revive him is the missing and amnesiac Mayumi, who stumbles upon her family grave and instinctively activates a device that revives and upgrades Jiban to let him continue his mission to defeat evil.

How Many Miles to the Battlefield? Is the 1st ep of 0080, and is an impressive introduction to Al and his perspective on the war as a normal kid. Being a late 80's ova they also got to go full tilt on showing us technical details on all the mobile suits in spite of their brief screentime.

The first Ultraman is truly something special, enjoy this journey while it lasts. After all, you can only experience Ultraman for the first time once.

The Tsuruhime Family's Super Secret sees Tsuruhime stymied in her quest for her ninja scroll by Yokai Kusakabe, so she is given dolls that take on the forms of her teammates in a secret test of leadership: Can she get to the end even as her party dwindles? And is there another layer to it?

Gorgom's Last Day is the final ep of Kamen Rider Black, and sees not only our hero's final battle with Shadow Moon, but also his one and only faceoff with the Creation King himself. All of the drama built up from Kotaro's search for Nobuhiko culminated here, in Kamen Rider's most emotional finale.

The Monster Tamer and the Boy is a Return of Ultraman ep that tackles themes of discrimination and violence using the ambassador of Planet Mates as a stand in for real people that are oppressed in this manner. With an ending that shocks 55 years later, this is my most recommended Ultraman episode.

The Cryptid Miminga's Great Rebellion is the last Splash Star ep to feature an Uzaina, but it is more about the near discovery of the girls fairy partners by their classmates and the hilarious pandemonium it invokes, all capped off by Kintoleski's attempts to get the girls to fight him.

Dream or Illusion? The Golden Bird Takes Flight is the 15th episode of Juspion, which features the 1st use of his finisher, the Cosmo Hally, as well as introducing the Golden Bird, the key to victory against both Satan Gorth and Mad Gallant. The arc that defines the rest of the show starts here.

The Phantom Colony Part 1 is a contentious ZZ ep that sees the Argama drop in to the Colony known as Moon Moon, where we meet the Light Tribe, a group of people living a primitive lifestyle. As this one contains my favorite funny moments for early ZZ, it has a special place for me

Touching! You'll Cry Too! Is a prophetically named Dairanger episode as it brings the story of Kou, his mother, and Akumaru to a bittersweet conclusion. Even worse it carries a major revelation about Master Kaku and the Gorma that lifts the curtain on the show's final conflict.
