If you're a fan of slice of life stories with realistic characters Hirayasumi is perfect for you. The characters are full of love and anxiety and I haven't been so satisfied with a manga in a long time. There's a live action adaptation airing now and an anime coming next year!!!!

Zeta Gundam was quite the rollercoaster ride and introduced a few character concepts that would continue in other Gundam stories...while rehashing the ones from MS Gundam.

The last time I was in Japan was for the Tokyo edition of the Cycle Messenger World Championship, too much time has passed. I miss riding those streets so much. I also miss this bike...it went through a lot!

The intro to each episode of Weekly! Ranma has a different message on Genma's sign. The latest episode had a nod to the series Oruchuban Ebi-chu.

I'm really interested in watching more one new anime this season, Gnosia. There not much at its core, its just an adaptation of a social deduction game and that's boring in execution. However, there is something about the characters and the world building done in the first episode that is striking.

For the fall season we are changing things up! Instead of doing the normal 3 brand new anime reviews we are diving head first into the world of UC Gundam. Join us each week as we go over a bunch of the compilation movies. Also, the return of Weekly Ranma!!

After 33 years of anime fandom I finally got around to watching 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam. Let's say I appreciate the change in aesthetics of design philosophy over the decades. Jumped to 0083, my intro to Gundam and it's a breath of fresh air in comparison. Kinda working through the UC atm.
