Father, husband, retired high school teacher. Old and grumpy, but perhaps foolishly, I believe there is still hope.
A world lit by gaslights…it has been a great year for supplicant oligarchs.

President?
January 14, 2026 at 1:34 AM
When you give a child a loaded gun to play with, bad things are bound to happen.
January 14, 2026 at 1:32 AM
No, the OBD (Office of Bullshit Dissemination) has become so important to this administration, it cannot be left solely to any individual. It’s a true team effort.
January 12, 2026 at 3:02 PM
No, the majority are just deluded folks looking for someone who promises to make their miserable lives better.

There are a smaller number who have everything they need, but want more.
January 11, 2026 at 7:41 PM
We’re friends with some truly terrible people.

It’s not the corrupt, cruel or incompetent leadership we care about, it the resources we want.
January 8, 2026 at 12:33 PM
What’s needed is for people to get off the sofa in November.

Flipping the House would be a good start. Never get 2/3 of the Senate, but at least the investigations could begin and the agenda blocked.

How ‘bout the cornered rat theory where the rat will strike out at anything or anybody if he thinks it means he won’t be eaten?
January 3, 2026 at 8:20 PM
Hope they have an exit plan and it goes better than our attempts to “run” Iraq and Afghanistan.
January 3, 2026 at 5:17 PM
But we’ll love $2/ gallon gas. We may not get it, and indeed over the short term, prices may rise, but you can rest assured that was the plan.
January 3, 2026 at 5:11 PM
We did impeach our Fearful Leader, but his sycophants found him not guilty.

And then we re-elected him.

Since a sitting president is immune from criminal acts committed as part of his official duties, he’s free to attack our neighbors just like Reagan and HW did.
January 3, 2026 at 5:08 PM
The most dangerous piece is that narcissists don’t go peacefully into that good night.

I fear this is only the beginning.
January 3, 2026 at 4:57 PM
Putin is what Donald aspires to be.
January 3, 2026 at 3:23 PM
The bigger and more pressing issue,is whether we, the people, can be trusted to pick someone to lead us who even pretends the law pertains to him.

Not looking good.
January 3, 2026 at 3:22 PM
And arguably US law. We’ll see if the courts and/ or Congress will join the vertebrate family.
January 3, 2026 at 3:20 PM
Sounds kind of like FDR’s “bold and persistent experimentation” during the Depression.
January 2, 2026 at 6:09 PM
One should not confuse willful ignorance with stupidity.

The former is worse because it’s a choice.
January 2, 2026 at 6:01 PM
An equal opportunity hater.
January 2, 2026 at 1:49 PM
Wonder if the administration’s friendly oligarchs will support giving the president control of interest rates and the money supply?
December 29, 2025 at 11:08 PM
A real class act for this season of love and brothers. As classy as the faux gold that’s been smeared all over the Oval Office.
December 25, 2025 at 11:05 PM
But that was a Democratic president. The rules are different if you have a Republican president and a supplicant Supreme Court.
December 25, 2025 at 7:43 PM
I’m sure that at least 3 members of the Supreme Court will argue that “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press” doesn’t guarantee free speech or a free press because it doesn’t say the president can’t restrict it.
December 24, 2025 at 7:57 PM
The fact that we re-elected him would argue few of us are rocket scientists or brain surgeons…
