So, my fortune vs complication system keeps the risk of complex results between 13.89% and 25% (my target goal was 15 and 25). My idea is that psychologically 15-25% chance of complex "feels" like 25%-35% complex, so players will feel like they're getting an ambiguous result 1/3 of the time.

I wanted players to be honest with themselves about how risky things are, but that felt almost impossible with a typical PbtA/FitD probability of 25-45% for "success at a cost" results, I just don't think players are psychologically equipped to put that kind of risk on themselves.

Thinkin' this might be the best batch of soup beans I've ever made. Wish I could've easily gotten my hands on a smoked ham hock to get more collagen in the broth but I'm very happy with how things are turning out.

The core mechanic is you roll 2 different colored d6. One of the d6 is your "strong" die, if you beat the 1-5 difficulty on this die you get a clean success. The other d6 is your "weak" die, if you only manage to beat the difficulty with this die you get a mixed success.

Nothing holds a candle to Blenheim Old #3 "Hot" red cap, it's so spicy it gets up in your sinuses like horseradish, almost have to put it on ice to not choke.

I feel very humbled by the fact that when Pearl wants to play she'll bring one of her toys over and drop it by me so we can play together. She's a good cat, don't know how I got so lucky.

Ogre Battle 64 was both my first rpg and my queer awakening, I couldn't decide (and still can't) if I wanted to be prince(ss) Yumil or knight Magnus, but I did know it was very gay and I wanted that to be me. I think that was probably the first time a game made me cry as well.
