I fell asleep before shaping my loaves from yesterday so they went into the fridge during bulk fermentation. I have little to no hope for these loaves and should have done a single batch getting back into the swing of things but here we are. I have one in the oven currently so we’ll see! #BreadSky

Baking bread for the 1st time in over a month. I accidentally killed my starter and revived it with the discard from my fridge, Ricky Discardo, so this “new” starter will be called Little Ricky. I took LR out on Saturday morning and three feeds later he’s already making beautiful dough! #BreadSky

My sourdough starter has been in the fridge for a loooong time now and has about a quarter inch of hooch in the top. I have to bake this week so I guess we are now reviving him!!

Here she is in all her glory!!! The crumb is tighter than my usual loaves because this recipe uses yeast. I was test driving the recipe for sourdough sandwich bread and will definitely be using it moving forward! #sourdough

My baby and I slept in until 10am?? He usually wakes up around 7:30 so I’m grateful we got to sleep longer but man am I disoriented.

I made this in two hours???? That’s a 40oz tumbler in the last pic, this thing is MASSIVE. It’s 11:39pm and it just came out of the oven so I won’t be cutting it until tomorrow but I am thoroughly impressed with the exterior!! #sourdough #homemade #bread

I think it’s crazy to live fifteen minutes from your only sibling and not even want to meet their kid. This is the only time I’ll ever post about this and I won’t be elaborating.

I neglected my starter for the past week… a HUGE feed, let it peak and flatten, and THEN put it in the fridge for like a week. It was thick as heck and smelled like liquor when I took it out of the fridge today but no signs of mold or bad bacteria, so we shall see! Just fed 😅 #sourdough #experiment
