Of course, you are right, but for a simple application, bringing in MobX, Redux, or Zustand might be over-engineering. Here, I just want to show that it’s possible to do this without third-party libraries. However, it all depends on the architecture and complexity of the application.

Of course, there is Google Maps, which has everything you need. But from my experience, Google Maps helps you find things you already know about (like locations, directions, or opening hours). Tripadvancer is about discovering the unknown.

That's exactly the concept: places are added by users based on their preferences. Those that receive high ratings and positive reviews become recommended for other travelers, while less interesting ones are filtered out by the system.
