And at some point (this person has probably passed it) that money becomes unspendable—that is to say, spending it at any reasonable rate doesn’t make a dent. To your original point—the media should be able to convey ideas like this when they talk about people with this kind of money.

This is the kind of wealth where merely the *annual growth*, conservatively estimated, and not considering the principal, makes someone rich. I.e. 3% of $203 million is over $6 million.
