Damn Dodgers.

I fear the hype around women’s basketball is making people just want monetize on its popularity by “getting in on the action” instead of investing in the women’s college game or the #WNBA or #AU or #Unrivaled which already exist to help secure some longevity and build on history!!

That means too much #WNBA talent and top #NCAAW talent being poached by “rival leagues” - especially if season is on a similar timeline - could really hurt the level of play and competitiveness of the #W.

While there’s plenty of room for men’s pro-am leagues, the #WNBA is not nearly as established as the #NBA with its nearly 80-year history and multi-generational fan base.

#AU and #Unrivaled are not meant to be rivals of the #WNBA (even if they are CBA leverage). A true “rival” could really jeopardize not only the future of the W but pro women’s ball.

Real talk…I’m happy about #Athletesunlimited and especially #Unrivaled - by women for women - but the WNBA having too many other entities get into women’s basketball seems to undermine the history of the league. #WNBA

Exactly. Haven’t been tapped in today so no idea if the league responded. But someone on his team needs to check him.
