The soil god nourishes the soil with the death of others. When Ed tried to negotiate Lach's curse, she didn't ask Ed to give up his own life as payment, she demanded the life of someone he loves. Also, Lach's generational curse is all about other people's deaths.

Ok ok one more analysis. The sea god nourishes the ocean with his own death. When Oskar wished for something unselfish but extremely expensive, Oskar also had to give up his own life for it.

Each character has an important connection/interaction with a respective god. Imagine Lach meeting the third god and seeing himself in them and instead of fear or respect, he feels pity and understanding.

Honestly I'd rather look at straight up porn. It's not just the basic anatomy, it's the flab underneath those clothes, the wacky perspective and the body to body interaction that I actually need to study

Nice thanks!

Pinterest has porn?

Do yall know any good resources?

now that I think of it, it kinda has some parallels with Lachlann. It's unwittingly born into a world with tremendous power, naive, wants to be loved, and is unaware of the consequences of its own actions.
November 10, 2025 at 8:29 PM
yeah.. maybe I'll just have Lachlann name it

I was thinking it has always existed but never in a focused, intentional way until humans started playing around with nuclear energy. The "melted" part was just based on the outcome of unleashing its power but now that I think of it, idk if it's a fitting name.. hmmm

the common theme for all three gods is life/death/decay tho
November 10, 2025 at 8:03 PM
yeah but sun god is still too local... cosmic god? or atomic god? 🤔
November 10, 2025 at 8:02 PM
hmm I'm actually partial to star god cause then that would put a whole new meaning to all the star symbolisms in the Hand me my shovel animatic.

I also considered that but I'm looking for a simpler word that goes together with soil goddess and sea god
November 10, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I don't have a name for the third god yet but it should have something to do with nuclear energy. I really don't want to use nuclear god tho. Maybe melted god? Or energy god?

sea god - gives and takes, equilibrium, stoicism
soil god - takes and takes, corruption, nihilism
third god - gives and gives, innocence, destructive idealism
November 10, 2025 at 7:32 PM
I don't have a design for the third god yet but it should totally have the cherenkov radiation and the elephant's foot incorporated in its design somehow
November 10, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Third god: newborn, homeless, powerful, naive, overflowing, unbalanced, innocent, destructive. Doesn't understand consequence. Eager to give gifts to win affection. Older than the universe but only found its identity as a byproduct of human invention.
November 10, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Sea god: ocean floor, whalefall, reciprocal decay, equal exchange, fair, self-renewing, self-sacrifice. Perpetually feeds the deep with his own carcass. His whole identity is built on giving away parts of himself because everything comes back to the ocean eventually.
November 10, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Soil goddess: forest floor, cordyceps-parasitism, poisoned, corrupted, toxic, fast, cunning, opportunistic, transactional. Predatory. Will try to nudge deals until the other party pays more than they understood (used to have a nicer version but human progress corrupted her)
November 10, 2025 at 7:05 PM
She had to work for Moma's bathhouse because the sea god owed her something.
