Also, I'm trying to learn a new piece of hardware, so I can probably watch youtube tutorials between my nursing shifts. I definitely can't concentrate on writing, so that's probably what I can salvage from the day...

Yes, that's it. I had a gig there (with a large ensemble which was close to being a big band, ironically!) in November. Nice venue, fun town!

Because I was on sabbatical last year, it's been a couple of years since I presented my work to our department, and it's one of my favourite things to do, teaching-wise. Plus, I love being there for when my colleagues present their new work in seminar.
