I may be coming out of a cycle of this, fingers crossed.
One thing I have some success with is turning NPR on low for a kind of white noise—but my spouse died a year ago, no other person to consider, and the dogs don’t object.

Sounds like excessive blood loss, which may be rare, but is a universal risk.
If all goes well in a hospital birth, you can get up, gather your things and your baby, and go home immediately if you want. So, 🤷🏻♀️

My guess is that we humans are much like rats, actually able to thrive on any old calories that come our way or that we choose. Look how damn successful we are.

We need to build a 21st-century passenger train network to give travelers an alternative option and airlines a source of competition.
