Since I wrote this, I came up with a new theory:
I think the Omni Ring isn't real. Or any of Champions. We've seen digital battles in USUM's Battle Agency (and the link battle bg in gens 6-8) and there's a lot of similarities to those things. we might be looking at a game that's digital in universe

Are we sure Champions is real in-universe? Like, the link battle background in gens 6-8 always looked a little more digital instead of a real place, and we've also had the idea of digital/VR battles in spinoffs since Orre's Battle Sims...
Plus, fully customizable pokemon isn't a thing in universe

Tbf, this isn't the first time we've seen this sort of thing. Sync Stones in Masters can also do all four, albeit they need Eternatus's presence for Dynamax, and seemingly work by pulling from people's memories.

This seems to be more actually having them work, which is feasible for three of them...

The big reason I doubt we'll get this demo released is that both prior demos released to the public, ORAS's and SM's, both lead to MASSIVE game content leaks ahead of launch due to datamining

personally id join a cb pvp server! what with the unusual tournaments server ending soon and the big server being... really intimidating 😅 i'd be interested in still maintaining a lowkey look at/way to participate in the scene

Story wise this is either taking place alongside or fully replacing CotC lorewise

i can't wait to sweep the entire game with the busted gen 9 starters
