You seem earnest and very understandable. Mr. Takei has a huge base and influence... I just don't see the bitter sarcasm against people that couldn't justify a true systemic moral failing as a productive direction to sway that base. I never know how much to engage in threads, so I'll stop there. 🫂

"Avoid making the decision" just isn't how I see it and "in the real world you have to make these choices" shouldn't extend to genocides. Anger is valid, but if protest voters are the focus we steer the convo from how dems (and system) failed is needs to change. I'm using my anger to resist.

I agree completely. But I came out of the voting booth feeling sick and complicit. I'm livid that we were made to feel that way. The difference between "protest vote" and "a moral line you can't cross" is getting blurrier, and blaming those that couldn't cross it isn't the take people think it is.

I voted for her, but I truly can't blame people that couldn't bring themselves to. It's wild to say genocide is "more acceptable" because it's your side doing it, and the dems very much were. The problem is the two party system, not the people pushing for accountability.
