Sauer saying something is unconstitutional because it "would be unconstitutional under Justice Scalia's dissent" is a remarkably cogent statement of the Roberts Court's approach to precedent.

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

Today, I introduced the Doula Bill of Rights! This bill ensures doulas can do their jobs safely, and that families know what to expect. I also co-primed CM Restler's bill - now, notices for fines won't appear in your mailbox late - they'll be right in your inbox!

Boycott #starbucks
More than 2,500 Starbucks workers are on strike. They’re demanding dignity: fair pay, safe conditions, a contract that respects their labor.

It’s time their voices are heard at the same volume as CEOs earning millions.

A corrupt president pardons a corrupt member of Congress for corrupt reasons. With multiple guilty pleas establishing a bribery-laundering scheme, Hakeem Jeffries still called the case “thin” and sought cover in a bribery-plagued Supreme Court.

A lesson in squandering potential inroads with voters.

Dark day in US history. That headline says it all.
#OTD in 1943, the US Court of Appeals ruled against Fred Korematsu and his case challenging the legality of Japanese incarceration. The court accepted that "military necessity" overrided personal liberties in a time of war. Still, the case will eventually reach the Supreme Court.
