I'm a writer by trade, a tabletop gamer by choice, and a gardener by upbringing. The world is full of wonder: I want to experience what's there and add some too.

To modern eyes, the 1861 Punch #comic seems akin to the #dinosaur #art of creatures witnessing the deadly meteorite impact that we see so often these days.

However, I think this comic predates the notion that dinosaur extinction was due to an astronomic catastrophe.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the launch of my #dinosaur novel PLUG AND FEATHERS such a success.

Especially thankful to @denseblackhole.bsky.social for helping to promote it.

My novel cracked the top 100 in one of its categories. Here's a screenshot, of where I ranked among the gay erotica.

As promised: the second book in the Argent Abyss series: Dead Ground, with another lovely cover painting by the talented Virginia Hagans.

Why PLUG AND FEATHERS?
PLUG AND FEATHERS is the story of the complicated relationship of three people, how their trip into the world of dinosaurs forces them to address the unresolved issues between them.

Weird. In histories of #Spinosaurus reconstructions, this 1981 masterpiece by Richard Smolinski rarely gets mentioned. #dinosaur " #art "

This cool #dinosaur #art is from a 1934 story "When Reptiles Ruled," told from the POV of a Struthiomimus, Luigi.

Check out the amazing #dinosaur #art for my novel PLUG AND FEATHERS. Full cover spread will make it an attractive addition to any paperback collection.

Available for preorder on September 5 (with special pricing), publishes on September 14!

Later today, I'll be revealing the cover for PLUG AND FEATHERS, the first of the #dinosaur books. First, though, here's the #blurb. It's an image because character limits are way too small for posting even this short text.

Part of the reason I chose Virginia as my #coverartist for the #dinosaur books is all the wonderful bird art she does. For example, check out this amazing crane!

When it came time to put out the dinosaur books, I started looking for cover artists, I immediately thought of Virginia Hagans, a friend of mine who made this image that I use as the cover for my dinosaur group, Dinosaur Fantastica www.facebook.com/share/g/1F4e...

One of my #readers told me that if they see an unfamiliar color word, it just becomes blue in their head, so I try to stick to simple color words. Which of these color sets best captures the color vocabulary you use in your #writing?

Collecting scrap metal at my dad's house, and I come across this thing that says "Asbestos: Sad Iron." WTF is that about?

Promoting an event at my local (Denver, CO) comic book store that promotes small independent creators.

It doesn't surprise me that they're not on bsky--they barely maintain a FB presence, and their IG is gone. It wouldn't surprise me if they barely heard of Tik Tok.

Another way that #Biden helped rural Americans--reducing farm bankruptcies.

Forgive my terrible editing of #idiottrump as a #dinosaur. But he talks so dumb all the time.

#Dinosaur animatronics by #localartists at Kcidy design. They will be decorating a dino-themed bar in Denver that will open later this year as "Clever Girl."

I'm a sucker for $1 bin comics, especially with dinosaurs. Who is Captain Comet? Who cares--gimme the dinos!

My copy of The Land That Time Forgot is really boring, not like this 1963 copy with cover art by Roy Krenkel.

Getting more copies of books just to get better cover art seems like madness, but I would love to see if any of you have a cool edition you'd like to share.

What movies are better than the books they're based on?

I'll start: JURASSIC PARK.
