This is the second time he end the season badly and hurt, and each time the story show his loneliness against the other groups of friends. The hotel/the Vees. It's not for nothing, especially for a character who loudly proclaims that he doesn't need anyone and that there is no friendship in hell.

I love Alastor, he is my favorite character but this don't look like victory. He got what he wanted (he freed himself from his pacts and had Rosie repair his microphone), but he didn't win.

Vox is the true winner at the end of their fight. Al lost against Shock.wave and he was alone when he was hurt, in opposite Val and Vel never left Vox, even after everything they stand together. And I think they would have won if they had stayed a trio until the end.

Blitz has overcome some of his flaws after sincerely apologizing and acknowledging his affection for Stolas. He has become almost the prince charming that Stolas dreamed of, but Stolas is no longer in a position to see him after the rejections (and especially after everything he has lost).

It's two different relationship but with some similarities. A stubborn character who don't want to go too deep in relationship and a dreamy character who's in love with the other one.

Stolas is dreaming about love, the kind that we found in books and movies. Val is in love with Vox, he is dreaming of being truly see. Even if the situation before all of Alastor's and heaven's fiasco was okey for him we can see at the end of episode 7 that he want Vox back by his side.

In s2 he treats his relationships the same way he treated his career. Val is one step, Al is the next. He doesn't even realize what he already has. By this logic, it was obvious that he would pursue his obsession with Alastor instead of focusing on the Vees. Winning against Al is winning Hell over.

3/Vox is someone with a lot of pride and with the flashback in Brighter we can see one important things; He always wants what he doesn't have. Alastor is right about that. Vox is never satisfied with what he has, he always want more and more...

This mean that people draw this backround, color it and all it's not here for nothing... In animation we can't waste time and energy for just nothing , this is conscious, even more in a show like Hazbin where they play with insinuations, references to situations in music or backgrounds.)

5/Al manipulation on Vox because he changes his behavior as soon as the latter makes a comment, which surprises Val, proving that his macho attitude is not usual for him (on Val at least). Just like Al say it's so easy because Vox is desparate to prove himself to Al because of is past admiration...

3/Usually Valentino react to this kind of speech probably by approving Vox words 4/When logical (from Vox pov) speech don't work, Vox use flirt on Val which is super effective (if Vel is not here to be sure that her bestie has some selfrespect)

Just after in Vox speech we can sort of understand that it's not a situation(ship) that was meant to stay this way "It means nothing in the long run". I know they are talking about their plans (or well... Vox plan) but it can also be extend to the discution about their relationship.

We can see Valentino reaction. He raises an eyebrow, looking unconvinced. This reaction was so natural that I really get the impression that it's common for Vox to emphasize the term "buisness partner".

1/First of all we need to remember that even before the season 2, Viv said in an interview that Vox and Val were not dating, that they have more of an on and on type of relationship. We can see that in S2 when Vox state that they are partner in /buisness/-
