I don’t make a bunch of posts, I’m just here to scroll.
Do you think he believes it? Like, in the typical boomer “I saw it online therefore it must be true” sense?

I can almost hear the press conference now: “Well many people - smart people - are saying it’s like he’s already surrendered, so it is a surrender. TOTAL surrender. Very powerful.”

I see. Si.

Well obviously, once we’ve deported all the scary brown people there won’t BE any gunshot wounds because that’s where ALL the crime comes from. See you have to look at all their insane policies holistically.

I enjoyed the first couple of episodes. I’m interested to see where they go with the premise.

My most charitable interpretation is that he thinks you have to show your ID to use a credit card, which hasn’t really been true for most purchases for, what, at least 25 years? I remember having to compare signatures when I worked retail in my 20s, but we don’t even do that anymore.

You good?

That’s funny, the last thing I did before seeing this post was send a link to my wife for the local food bank and suggesting we see what we can do.

Be the change (or status quo) you want to see, and all that.

I can think of almost 200 people that will vote “no”.

Haha I do that sometimes. Close my eyes, tilt my head back, type. Somehow I even know when I’ve made a typo, which makes me think certain typos are just muscle memory.

You said you doubt @reichlinmelnick.bsky.social was appalled, and I was just saying that anyone that actually read the article SHOULD be appalled. The only other reaction is to give up and say that this is just how things are now. I wasn’t necessarily implying that’s what you’re doing.

Did you read the story? I was appalled too. We can’t let ourselves get numb or just accept that this is the “new normal”; no human being deserves to be treated like this.

Okay I don’t think I caught the banana reference. I need coffee.

That image is clearly AI… you know that right? I mean I agree with the sentiment but…

It’s that time of night where half of my feed is Tom clap backs and the fact that I can’t see what instigated this one bothers me more than I should admit.

I’m hoping it just turns out to be the biggest “this meeting could have been an email” of all time.

You could say the same thing about AI (LLMs specifically). And the problem is, they’re teaming up.

I’m excited to learn which ED product(s) you will soon find yourself partaking of.

That whole sentiment would be more satisfying if the people that voted for him had the slightest hint of shame, but most of them are blissfully ignorant of anything outside their media bubble that tells them everything is fine.

I’m sure some of them are convinced their translation devices are broken.

America will be healthy again because we’re going to let all the unhealthy people die.
