The problem is that the democrats are doing a piss-poor job of convincing people that they are not also evil.
The lesser of two evils is still evil and some people won't vote for that.

The 2024 strategy was to primary the left, and get Liz Cheney involved in an attempt to get swing republicans to vote. Last I saw approximately 10 million people voted for Biden in 2020 that chose not to vote thus time.
The winning strategy has to be to drop the centrist and get these votes back.

Because the alternative is not acceptable to them.
Ultimately I highly doubt anyone will get a single trump 2024 voter to vote Dem in 2028. But getting the Dems to appeal to those they have excluded looks to me like it has to be the first step towards getting them elected in 2028.

I'd have voted blue if I had a vote in the US election. I'd have been disgusted eith myself but I'd have done it for harm reduction. Other people have genocide support as red line. Which is moral, valid and principled.
