In London, if someone addresses you or starts a conversation with something along the lines of “you alright?” or “alright, mate?” It is not a genuine question of “How are you?”. Simply reply with “Yeah” or “Yes, mate” and then move on to what you actually want to ask/say. Enjoy the adventure!

Honestly, all of it was fantastic, and we want to go back as soon as we can. It’s hard to pick out one thing over anything else though 😊 We stayed for two weeks, splitting it between Tokyo, Osaka and Otsu. We took day trips to Hakone, Himeji, Hiroshima and Kyoto (twice!).

My wife and I went to Japan for the first time a couple of weeks ago, your YouTube and book were really helpful in planning it out!
