Protein biochemistry is amazing—and by amazing, I mean a wild ride that starts with 300 mL of preculture, scales up to 6 liters of shaking culture (that mysteriously always finishes at 2 AM), and hopefully ends with at least 6 grams of cell pellet.

Academia’s a journey of the mind—and sometimes, of clay. When the café that fired your ceramics puts them on display, it feels like a little piece of your soul is seen. So glad the sunshine rangoli sent warm vibes all the way here at France :)

I was left with 6 microcentrifuge tubes yesterday and since it was getting late to go back home, I grabbed my bag to catch the last bus. I reach the lab this morning to see the box filled back. It's great to work with a team of unsung scientific heroes, especially Stephane Goffinont. Merci Stephane!

Today was a truly unforgettable day as our supervisor successfully defended his HDR. This achievement means that our thesis will officially carry his name. Witnessing him defend the remarkable work he's dedicated years to—and continues to pursue alongside us—filled us with immense joy.
