Why is King Shantanu in the TV Serial so charismatic for no reason? I only know him as Devavrata's shitty old man and a lustful King who didn't learn his lesson twice over, dooming generations of Kuru into turmoil.

Devavrata is cool. Gange raised him well. I appreciate how King Shantanu's probing him for the wisdom he gained from his teachers gave deeper insight for the ways of warriors and kings in this age as an outsider without cultural context to pull from.

It's so funny to see how the girl she admired ends up being a bit of an airhead who only had vague plans and not much concrete planning beyond what she wants to accomplish right now which is to get on that damn ship for Antarctica.
