We visited rainy Portland this week and stopped for breakfast downtown this AM. Disappointed we didn’t see raging fires, riots or businesses boarded up but there some great Halloween decoratated yard displays

My husband and I were proud to attend the No Kings rally in our little towns The signs we made indicate the depth of frustration and breadth of issues we were protesting. There was singing and costumes and fun and happily no checks from Soros and no chaos - sorry Sean H

I live in a town of less than 2500 in So OR in a deep red county and we had 500 or more protestors show up and most cars passing honking and thumbs up. 4 counter protestors showed up. We gave them apples to eat just like the other protestors.

It was one of those days when everything seemed to be going amok nationally and I had little energy to cook but a hefty need of comfort food, so we had baked swordfish with peach and mango salsa, black beans, rice and Rotel and frozen French filet beans from last summers garden and a salad.

These elk, regular visitors to our property seem oblivious to what’s happening on the national stage. But with climate change making their grazing areas less plentiful, they show up on our lawn more often.
