The sun has risen over Invest #97S which is looking quite healthy, with lots of convection sustaining over an organizing center. Models are hinting that it could become a TC within the next 2 days, and ensembles are showing it could threaten #Australia

Saw some impressively structured supercells out on the Mississippi delta yesterday, but none better than this guy over by Winchester, AR. The thing was lofting some ridiculous lightning as we pulled up too, but alas I managed to miss most out of frame 🤦♂️

Only a few weeks left until we're on our way back to the United States for yet another severe #storm season. I'm not sure what to make of the seasonal outlooks, but I do know that you miss 100% of the storms you don't chase by staying home!

Given a fairly loose CAP, we're seeing thunderstorms get up quite early today around #Darwin. This guy over near Shoal Bay was slinging a bunch of bolts around the joint at 11am!
