I'm a software engineer at https://bel.company and a PhD student in the Dassonville Perception and Action lab (https://ion.uoregon.edu/research/faculty-page/267) at the University of Oregon.
We have enshrined profit margins as a fundamental right and capitalists complain when government provides competing services. It's capitalistic inversion to protect the less efficient (private) from the more (public). Government should compete everywhere - let industry win where it can.

If she's too afraid to speak up: fine, that's understandable. If you are too much of a coward to do your job, resign and let someone with the courage to do it step in. Otherwise, you are complicit. I have no sympathy for these people.
