They used to take it--I actually learned the word from Spelling Bee. The last couple times it would fit it was rejected, though.

I'm not discounting this entirely, but keep in mind that a 75% Trump district still has thousands of people who aren't rightists that can show up in these meetings. I'd be more convinced if generally rightist activists were identified as the source of the backlash.

a core problem for the dems, the leadership, seniority, decision makers, is they don't really *want* anything. they don't have any pet projects or real ambitions anymore, it's 'keep everything mostly the same and stay here till i die of old age'. so there's nothing they'd WANT to influence polls on

Maximum Overdrive, a cheesy 80s adaptation of a Stephen King novel. I remembered the draw bridge and the soda machine, then it suddenly came on TNT back in 2001.

Don't know if it's related, but there's a character in Game of Thrones called Renly Baratheon. No W though.

Totally agree--what I'm curious about is why banks keep giving these loans? Shouldn't these raise red flags?

I was on a jury for a murder trial that had an included Theft misdemeanor the prosecution never addressed. The murder was open-and-shut, but it took all I could muster to keep myself from giving in an going along with the other 11 on the misdemeanor, even though it would have no practical impact.

With this and the story about the Yum! Brands CEO wanting to put AI in charge of "major journeys" in his restaurants, it looks like we'll all be eating the rat cheese in the near future...

Even if they aren't dischargeable, wouldn't the automatic stay serve the same function as the appeal bond? Not a lawyer but wouldn't that still work to buy time?
