I'm an artist, I talk about cetaceans, parrots, reptiles, pet ownership, zoos, conservation, rewilding, I'm pro-animal welfare (anti-AR)
Old news, but still as true as ever.

When they say "orcas don't attack people in the wild" 🤡

I feel genuinely sick about Wikie and Keijo.
Japan was blocked. All "sanctuary" suggestions were denied (because "duh"). Now even Loro Parque is blocked, weeks after being assured they would go.
Inouk here would still be alive if they'd moved to Japan.
I'm afraid they'll kill Wikie and Keijo, too.

The final hurdle for these more soft-hearted people, because this is a bird, but quail are arguably the most easy land-vertebrate to justify.
They are far less intelligent than chickens, and live only for 1-2 years max. Another case of "eat, poop, die".

Schooling fish. Fish that move in enormous schools in the ocean have low levels of sentience and individuality, as vertebrates go. They live only to eat, reproduce, and die.
Ethical concerns are more about overfishing than killing the individual.

Bivalves. The first animal that someone more sensitive should be okay to eat from an ethics standpoint, since their sentience is on the same level as plants.
Mass-production of mussels also helps clean the ocean.

Fish eggs. A separate category because we don't typically include them as "EGG eggs". They may be taken from a dead or live fish, but dead may be more ethical.
It then obviously falls into the same ethical concern as eating the flesh of fish, but the eggs are even more nutritious.

Eggs. From chicken, duck, muscovy, quail, and more. These are an obvious byproduct that the birds will lay regardless. It doesn't hurt them in any way, and you can buy them locally from a small farm, or keep your own "girls" as spoiled pets in your backyard.

Ex-vegan or omnivore, but not feeling ok with the killing of typical farm animals?
There are ways to eat healthy animal-based foods and give your body what it needs without killing cows or pigs.
