With that said, having been there and done that. It’s really stuff that should be learned at home. With laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and the like. A more useful class to require students take would be economics.

I had home economics back in high school, New Jersey. It was a required class back in the 80’s after the requirement was filled you could choose to take a more advanced home ec which taught more challenging sewing and cook skills.
