then i'd worry less about the exact mechanics and options and just come up with an OC you think would be fun to roleplay as, and then ask a friend or your DM to help you figure out what class they should be and all that!

have you watched any live-play shows like critical role or fantasy high? those could give you more of an idea of how play actually works and what different classes and whatnot are like!
