I write stories about sentient diesel locomotives and create nonsensical shitposts for fun. God help me.

As Spamcan came hurtling down the line, his driver applied the brakes hard. Sparks flew from his wheels, startling the nearby Diesel.

Diesel purred up. 'You ought to be grateful for this, BoCo!' He moaned. 'I had to fetch your coaches by myself without any help, as if I'm not...'

'Yes, thank you Diesel.' Interrupted BoCo. 'You said the same thing yesterday, no need to repeat yourself.'

'Good heavens!' mocked Spamcan. 'They really are keeping this toy railway of yours around! I suppose they have to keep those steam-loving enthusiasts happy somehow!'

Skarloey snorted indignantly, and puffed away.

Once upon a time, there was a little diesel called Bear. He lived in a shed with two other diesels. They were both bigger than Bear, and boasted about it.

'The driver won't choose you again!' they said. 'He wants big, strong diesels like us!'

'You know Dennis,' grumbled Diesel. 'I'd appreciate it if someone helped me to get everyone's coaches ready.'

The lazy diesel opened one eye. 'I'm sure you would.' he yawned as he went back to sleep.

Lorry companies had now been working with the Clay Pits for months, and the Quarry Master saw no reason to keep Bill and Ben when Derek could handle the infrequent goods trains alone. As they left for the last time, the twins glared at the abashed diesel.

When he was brought back to Sodor, Diesel hoped he'd be pulling passenger trains. His hopes were dashed when the Fat Controller made him the station pilot. He hated it, and the other engines quickly grew tired of his grumbling.

'Daisy says you're both doing well on the branch line!' Smiled BoCo. 'Keep up the good work, Mavis!' The former quarry diesel tried to force a smile, but couldn't do it. Things around her were changing rapidly, and she was struggling to cope...

'Isn't it wonderful, 7101,' said 199. 'that the Controller finally saw sense and sent those filthy steam engines away?'

Before Bear could remind Spamcan of the time a steam engine humiliated him in a rescue, the guard's whistle blew and he had to leave.
