If enough Republicans won't vote for the ACA subsidies now---with the shutdown pressure---why would they vote for it later? You are basically admitting it won't pass, and all you get is having the Republicans on the records with a vote...but that doesn't help anyone who has bills to pay.

Joining his brothers and sisters for morning dog-walks helped all of them be more of a family, and when that happened, he loved his father very much. END

But sometimes he did. When he felt saddened at the loss of his father, he looked at his dog and his dog looked at him, and it helped him remember his father’s love, and helped him not feel so alone.

The fifth child dutifully cared for his dog, faithfully walking it every day. Often it was just a habit for him, without much recollection about how he had gotten the dog…and sometimes, he even barely remembered his father.

He couldn’t help but share everything he knew and believed about dogs with his siblings---sometimes even when they didn’t want to listen or argue with him, but only rest with their dogs.

Every day, he weighed his dog, and recorded how much the dog ate and drank. He read everything he could about dog breeds, dog care, and dog diseases. He planned that when the dog died, he would dissect it, reassemble the skeleton, and label each of the bones.
