Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

This is good news— and predictable. Threads was insistent on throttling political content, insistent on using a non-linear timeline, and insistent on promoting the same type of mindless engagement bait (“what’s the solution to this math problem?”) that rendered Facebook unusable.
Despite a massive head start, BlueSky has now overtaken Threads in the US 👇
