Because someone said, "We must be able to make ourselves happy, before sharing that happiness with others". (Is that true? Or does this apply to affection?)

I want to go back to a time where I can appreciate my own work more (a.k.a “lemme cook” for myself) and can be more ignorant of things that are out of my control. Focus on your own happiness while still trying to give the best to the people around you, while slowly attracting an audience.

Maybe my goal for next year is to focus more on myself. Recalling my reasons for drawing and honing my skills.

What I feel now every time I draw is how it will reach the viewer, until I get stuck in the uncomfortable feeling of not enjoying the process of making each of my drawings. Instead, I focus too much on things I can't control and fear the feeling of disappointment from the false validation
