It's also #1 or #2 for me, so you're not alone!

It's not the best Lumines because the stage transitions are annoying and abrupt. The music and levels should also, like a great album, have a more natural flow and coherent theme by now. But the best-in-class block puzzles and *vibes* still demonstrate why Lumines will always be the GOAT.

I agree! I've had that same thought many times when I'm scoring a game highly, but, like you said, I've listened to my gut when it is screaming at me and it's worked out.

that's fair, but the rule that has almost always worked for me is if you're debating between two scores, the lower one is probably more apt (and the one you'll have a lower chance of regretting later)

Documentary editors must salivate when they can do the classic move of smash cutting to an instant contradiction like this. @noobde.bsky.social from the top rope.

it would be nice if an inevitable Sigma version removes at least five levels and tunes down enemy health

one day a "director's cut" version will be bold enough to actually cut the fat

Yeah exactly. It's why I usually took my pics out for combat or waited for a dramatic pose where there was a chance to see what the hell was going on.

It's pretty good, but I wish you could tune the lighting and blood effects more. The bloom and blood can sometimes make it harder to get that perfect shot.

As you said, I love how much more natural exploration is. It is still signposting important places by giving each one a title card and marking them on your map when you aim the spyglass at them, but they're made to grab your eye first. I've stumbled across so many things just through my curiosity.
