RPGs need some of hoarder class that mechanically embraces the folks who keep every potion even through the final fight in case they decide they need it later.
There needs to be a marblesque dice mechanic where a bunch of d20s are rolled in a circle and the player and GM take turns trying to knock the results they don’t like out of the circle with oversized “shooter” dice.

New TTRPG Proposal: Metaquest. A game about managing schedules and personality conflicts in order to play TTRPGs as adults. The GM challenging the players with obstacles with things like illness, family emergencies and stress. The only way to gain experience is through missing planned play sessions.

Dice Goblin Magic Item: Djinn Gaa’s Amulet of Dextrous Hubris. Grant yourself advantage on any roll you want. When you do this you must add a die to a perfectly vertical tower of d20s. When the tower is knocked over, the dice are given to the GM to spend to give you disadvantage whenever they want.

TTRPG stat reroll system: reroll as much as you want, but every stat block you don’t use gets turned into an npc that hates your guts and is out to see you ruined or dead. The lower the stats (and thus the more justified the reroll) the lower the danger this person represents.

I picked my username using the highly complex algorithm of choosing the opposites of blue and sky; just to be silly. But I’m realizing the metaphoric potential is way higher than I would have liked.
