#charliekirk #dibattiti

I'll be honest, I haven't once felt the need or desire to use Apple Intelligence's "Writing Tools", but I would PAY to be able to add a shortcut to the system copy/paste popup so I can quickly do a word count

I'm not against AI tools but why can't we have also other stuff easily accessible :0

L'Ungheria vuole usare telecamere a riconoscimento facciale per trovare chi partecipa a manifestazioni LGBTQ+ illegali. Hm.

It's quite funny how dumb this thing is. also depressing.

Use ChatGPT, whatever, but how can we settle for relying on such a tool 🥲

This to me feels like saying

"Everyone can now be a mathematician. The old barrier was learning how to do calculations. Excel/WolframAlpha has completely erased that barrier"

Which is like yeah there is *some* element of truth to it but it's really not that simple??

"Ghibli style LOTR"

Once again with these AI-trailers (and most AI images) I think the most glaring issue is how incredibly *dull* the final product is.

This trailer is amazingly uninteresting, and lacks all of the interesting parts of a Ghibli animated movie (look at how boring the Balrog looks)

But it doesn't end here! Jerry Dischler, president of Cloud Applications at Google Cloud, answers that multiple sites across the web include this stat, so it's "not a hallucination."

This feels an incredibly naive rebuttal to me, cause it doesn't solve the issue with LLM based systems,

In this case, Nate Hake noticed on Twitter that in the ad Gemini generated text that said that Gouda makes up for "50 to 60 percent of the world’s cheese consumption.".

Which is obviously not true.

This is the archived version of the deleted TSA page: web.archive.org/web/20250110...

The page is no more: www.tsa.gov/travel/tsa-c...

honestly, this is scary stuff. I'm astonished.

(btw, it highlights the value of a tool like the wayback machine by archive.org)
