Early #oracy skills such as hearing and sound recognition are developed pre-birth, but what a great example of building on these in the early years through call and response.

We can continue this process in school with the use of 'my turn, your turn' routines, nursery rhymes and rhyming stories.
It’s like you can see the gears turning. ⚙️

Almost 9 years ago, @autisticsociety.bsky.social started work, which led to the Too Much Information campaign. This video is from that campaign. Saffron is such a great communicator.

Our children engage in lots of the messy, half-formed 'backstage talk' to help them to become more confident and self-assured when delivering the 'front stage talk'.
