I wrote a column about why anyone who says they’re not voting because Kamala Harris sucks need to suck it up and vote anyway.

This contains fighting words, but it’s also one of the most sincere things I’ve ever written.

I want folks to come together as a “civics Voltron” and fight evil together.
You are not too good for the common good
I am deeply worried about how rigged the American democratic system is, but still we must vote.

The head of FEMA has said that the lies are not just “demoralizing” but creating “fear in our own employees.”

Some of the online lies tell the public not to cooperate with authorities (from Trump aide, Laura Loomer); others suggest a violent response, invoking militias.

The nonstop bullying, threats, & ref-working produced results, as intended. Extremists redefined pushback against anti-reality nonsense as “bias.” Now they’re doing the same thing with fact-checking as “censorship.” Why should they stop when they’ve so successfully cowed the media & social media?
I'm baffled at how effectively the right falsely painted Twitter, FB, and other big social media platforms as politically biased and pressured them to stop moderating to address harmful BS, and now the owner of X is literally jumping up and down on the campaign stage for their candidate, and what?
