I really miss Jeff Easley’s era of DnD art. He did the iconic cover of the AD&D DMG, after all—and his work always had that distinct “stuff’s about to go down” vibe. I love this peace in particular.

I've been posting on both Bsky and X to try out the communities. Things are dialed down from 2021 Twitter in both places, but. at least as of now. I only get these kinds of people on bsky. This stopped completly on X for me months ago.

Wow, a real blast from the past tonight. I didn't know what the term Sealioning was until today, when I found someone explaining it with a screenshot of someone doing it to me a few years ago. These were some absoultly terrible people. I had forgotten all about this.

I'm not sure why Star Wars doesn't get more love as a #TTRPG, there is so much source material and it's perfectly setup for gaming.

There is a lighthearted fun in the listing of leaders in the original Greyhawk folio. Leaning into the absurdity of many noble titles. #DnD has always had this flawed assumption that all Royalty are high level, which is an odd assumption. Were they all adventurers?

Humans were the default in The Greyhawk Folio. All non-humans were Demi-Humans (elves, dwarves, etc) or Humanoids (Orcs, Hobgoblins, etc). All called anthropomorphic (odd). I don't recall this in early #DnD.
What do you recall in those days?
