It's almost exactly 15 years since the last weekly Optimo. Coincidentally I just found this which we handed out on the last night - 250 Optimo tunes as chosen by those who attended. Had we picked them I think it would have been a much cooler selection.

Back at The Berkeley Suite, Glasgow on Saturday with Trystero, the new act from Optimo Music's MR TC with Low Bat on vocals. Their self released "Sfumare e Vedere" album was one of our faves of 2024. Psyched to have their Scottish debut. On stage around 00.15 - 01.00 and then we are on 'til 4.

Good times at Creeping Bent's 30th anniversary / endgame in Glasgow tonight. End of an era.
It featured the 1st gig by Glasgow's finest avant-funksters, MacKenzies, in 40 years. They were sensational!
Whole thing was great - the best of Glasgow!

I got to share a smoke with David Lynch outside the Glasgow Film Theatre when he was giving a talk on Transcendental Meditation. Possibly the only good thing that came out of being a smoker, which is of course what did for DL. 💔💔 #don’tsmoke

Exit used to be called Fury Murrys. Last time I was there was 1989, DJing as support to Nitzer Ebb! I imagine I will be playing a high % of the same records I played that night gig but hopefully mixed and programmed a little better. Doors 11, on til 4.
