Made a comic for #makeaterriblecomicday2025!

This idea made me shoot up out of bed at 3am to board it - now it lives in its own strip and, at last, I can sleep.
Panel 1 - A small hand pushes a library card on a counter. The library card has a picture and the name "Cyle" prominently displayed on it. Panel 2 - The librarian at the counter picks up the card, reading out the name, "Cyle?" "Like Kyle but with a 'C'." the owner of the library card replies. Panel 3 - The librarian now looking down to address the owner of the card, who is covered by a hat, large scarf, and baggy clothing that obscures all features but their eyes. "That's what I said..." "No you didn't..." the small, bundled Cyle replies. Panel 4 - Both the librarian and Cyle look to the reader of this comic, the person who is truly responsible for possibly mispronouncing Cyle's name. The strip's title, 'With a C', is written in the bottom left corner of the strip. Cryptcom, the name of the series, is written in the bottom right corner of the strip with my signature. ... This is such a bad, meta comic joke - please laugh.

The gremlin in question -
A fluffy gremlin - otherwise known as a cat. Phobe, short for Phobetor, has black fur, large, yellow eyes, and a skull and crossbones bowtie that she proudly wears. She is sitting atop her perch, staring down with her scheming visage.

I finished up my first attempt at a 4 wire braid!

I used 22 gauge copper wires, so it is pretty flexible, but the whole band of it feels stable.

I might try a thicker wire with my next attempt!

I decided to draw outside for a bit and had a bird friend come check me out on the deck.

I don't know how long they were there before I looked up from my work, but they stuck around and hung out for a bit before flitting over to a nearby tree.

I've been storyboarding some scenes lately from the RPG campaign I run and decided to work on some backstory comics for a group of NPCs that my players see pretty often.

I am probably having too much fun with it though.

Obnoxious pretty boy walking your way... ✨🎤

I've been trying to figure out better ways to protect my art lately, which has led me to not post a lot of what I've been working on the past few months :(

I finally found a decent solution and I now feel comfortable enough to start posting work again... So... Have some art!

I had a friend of mine post about an MTG alter set I did for them 2 years ago that I had completely forgotten about.

They commissioned me to make proxies of the Power 9 set for their Canlander decks - the really cool part? Only use markers.

So here's part of the set, using Poscas and Sharpies!
A set of Magic: The Gathering card alters, featuring proxies of 8 of the Power 9 cards. Each card has a reference to the iconic art in which it is known for, done in Posca markers and Sharpie only.

I have a sign that I made for my roommate and I to be able to tell each other that we're brewing coffee, as it can be hard to tell (we just keep our French presses on the counter like the unorganized gremlins we are).

I'm surprised that the front part of the sign has held up this long.

I've been watching a friend of mine play Voice of the Void lately and decided that it was time to draw Kerfur-O and him together.

I still can't get over how tall Kerfur-O is in comparison to the player model - but he's the best tall, sweet boy.

Kerfur-O stands happily to the left of the player, nearly a head and a half taller than them. Kerfur-O is the more lanky version of Kerfur, sporting limbs with joints. They also look quite cheery, with flower emotes coming from their head. The player stands to the right of Kerfur-O and is wearing a similar outfit to what my friend wears - a beanie with a hoodie. They look somewhat apprehensive about the height difference between them.

Finishing some evening sketches while starting The Adventure Zone podcast.

I have the first graphic novel of the podcast series and have heard some episodes here and there, but I figured it was about time to actually listen to all of it.

I also finally got glasses to help with the light sensitivity I've had for years now, and they have been an absolute game changer.

This is possibly one of the deadliest aviation disasters in 20+ years for the US - the focus should be on the incompetence of military leaders and giving support to grieving families, not spouting nonsensical claims to further your political agenda.

This is beyond shameful.
