Me using IrfanView (named after its developer) since 2006 or so until today. Still far more superior and lightweight than Windows 10/11's default image browser and still using it until today for that reason.
No sketchy, useless or annoying bullshit typical of most modern apps, it only works.

Maybe not the advice you're looking for, but if you ever want to go much earlier than AI and account login Paint, MS Paint for Windows XP and 98 still run in Windows 11. Likely same thing for Notepad.

I bought one and it helped me wonders for some of my 3D models both as a hobbist and as an engineer.
And also are way more open source and consumer-friendly than paper printers ever did. They're pretty fucking fantastic.
