One of the things CASARA (Canada's AIR SAR unit) is track down spurious EPIRB/PLB signals. A friend of mine once tracked one to the dump in Sechelt, British Columbia.
Sometimes badly wired electronics can send a false alarm.

Current pet peeve is that the map Facebook uses in Marketplace has a big fucking error in it, and I have no idea how to correct it.
This is Squamish. Tantalus Provincial Park is not in that location, it's several KM to the east.

I think the schoolchildren of Squamish in 1913 made a good choice for the town's name - of course renaming it from the first nation's name in the first place was a mistake.
