The account didn’t interact with anyone,so could have been a black person reclaiming a slur just as the other crowds do, but when a black person gets bombarded with “fuck you” “lick my taint” by white folks because I don’t find it a big deal, people should be asking themselves what horse they are on

Your pointing out that your opinion on someone using the word, is different then mine, and suggesting I should consider the relevance of your solution over my own, while using a specific situation as an example while ignoring a more relevant example. And that’s your right. I prefer to know a racist asshole as soon as possible, and understand that this person now has a bluesky account with a different username, hiding something doesn’t make it go away, just makes it easier for it to sneak up behind you.

Using it as a way to get internet points for helping the poor defenseless black folks, instead a site full of white folks are all patting eachother on the back and blowing shit way out of proportion. I’m more disappointed in the lack of respect shown to black members by all the clout seekers

Personally I prefer it when racist assholes make it apparent they are racist assholes before you interact with them. Now that same person will come back under a random name to do more damage. If this community actually cared about what the black community thought they would stfu about it and stop

Do you think they were that way during beta tests? Do you think they intentionally used the invite code method to cut down abuse knowing the system wasn’t ready, but launched to head off other competition?..come on people. No mods are sitting there going “hahaha someone named them self the n-word”
