With my older kids, it has opened conversations about her and why we refuse to support her in this house. They know we won't watch the new show. They know we don't buy new merchandise, etc. We talked about how art can be personal, and separate from the artist to an extent.

The first shot, in which Annunen knocked the net off trying anchor against the post, skirted across the crease without going in. The second shot bounced off the side of the net after it was knocked loose. The third shot crossed the line. Are you implying play should continue sans net indefinitely?

Again - the net was loosened earlier in overtime and goalies push off the post all the time. As the net was not solidly on it's pegs, it fell off easily when he anchored against it...as ALL goalies do. There was no cheating. This was a bad call, plain and simple.

Even if it could be said he knocked it, the play should have been blown dead when the first shot failed and a penalty assessed against Annunen.

But he didn't. The net was loose after the puck hit the bar a few plays earlier. Goalies push off and anchor off the bar all the time. He did; net came off.

Aside from that fact, the first attempt at a shot didn't go in. It hit the side of the net, thus ending the "imminent scoring opportunity."
